The tattoo has been used to mark members of clans, criminals, slaves, and skills of laborers. They’ve been used to denote social statuses and have been used in rituals. They have been embraced or denigrated.
Whether it is a figure painting of a tattooed person or a tattoo artist who expresses the graphic nature of tattoos on paper or canvas, the exhibit aims to celebrate this expressive art form permanently marking the body.
We will be featuring the works of: Lauren Curtis :: Caitlin Hackett :: Joe LaMattina :: Nick Rosal :: John Wyatt
The Artists Reception will be on Sunday, April 29th from 3-6pm with the exhibit running from April 29th through June 7th.
